Beneath the Ripples

I love water and have taken numerous photographs of it. This one was taken in May 2008 in Largs (North Ayrshire) at the Pencil; it was the start of summer and a beautiful blue-sky evening. The water was moving just ever so slightly and seemed peaceful, calm. I love this photo because the water is beautifully clear and the sunlight created incredible patterns on the stones. I can look at the photograph and remember how it felt with the sun on my face, the water sparkling like diamonds, and the smell of summer in the air.
